This paper considers an
issue of eco-sustainable architecture development. It reviews an opportunity
of constructing a new type of large-span translucent buildings and structures,
capable of not only expanding significantly the reach of comfortable and safe
human environment but also improving liveability of our cities. A discussion is open regarding the features and properties
of the new architecture that, in the author’s opinion, will soon make our
cities more environmentally friendly, rendering greater energy efficiency and
general attractiveness.
